Dear teachers,
As a student in the Early Childhood Education program at my university, I have developed at passion for effective learning and teaching. Observation and critique of other teachers' classrooms has been an integral part of my studies and development as a future educator. I have worked in many classrooms that were not comfortable, organized environments. Student progress and achievement can suffer as a result. I've also noticed that the physical environment we teach in and the materials we use can contribute directly to inefficient use of time. This takes away from the most valuable teaching resource we have: productive, high-quality instructional time with students.
I've created this website as a resource for teachers wanting to create a physical environment that will allow their students to be comfortable and successful. Included are scholarly articles, organization strategies, creative and time-saving uses of materials, and sample classroom layouts. Please use the resources I have gathered to better your classroom and, in turn, the experiences of your students!
